BOMA/PHILADELPHIA MEMBERSHIP DUES INFORMATION

The Building Owners’ and Managers’ Association (BOMA) of Philadelphia membership consists of five types:
Regular ~ Asset Manager ~ Facility Manager ~ Associate ~ Affiliated

Defined as follows:

Regular:

Individuals, co-partnerships or corporations whose primary purpose of the business is the ownership and/or management of an office, apartment, institutional, loft, public utility of other building requiring active supervision and management in Philadelphia, suburban counties, the State of Delaware and Southern New Jersey. Membership dues are based on the size of the building represented. The building is considered the member.

Dues for Office Park/Campus (two or more buildings, with single ownership and single management, six stories or less in height, that occupy contiguous land area greater than three acres and are located outside of the CBD) are based on all rentable area and on the same dues structure as listed above.

Dues for multiple commercial buildings (not in a corporate park) under the management of an individual are based on the aggregated rentable area of all buildings and are on the same basis as office buildings (with no single building being in excess of 300,000 square feet). All buildings applying for membership must be listed on the application (or separate sheet) with the associated rentable area and the name of the individual making the application.

Membership dues are based on one representative per category for both regular and associate members and include membership in BOMA International (with the exception of Affiliated and Additional Associate Members). Dues for additional regular members are $375.00


Asset Manager:

An individual on a corporate or ownership level, not associated with a particular property but has the responsibility for multiple properties and/or the supervision of other asset or property managers. Membership dues are $650.00.


Facility Member:

An individual who is a tenant of a regular member building. Membership dues are $650.00


Associate Membership:

Individuals, co-owners or representatives of organizations furnishing professional or business services or supplying material goods and/or services to the building management industry. Company is the member, not individual representative. Membership dues are $825.00 per year - per representative, in addition to a one-time, non-refundable initiation fee of $200.00 (required along with membership application). Dues ($825) are due thirty days prior to presentation to the Board of Directors. No application will be presented without payment. Dues for additional associate membership dues are $375.00.


Affiliated Member:

Any municipal organization having substantial involvement with regular member building, (i.e. fire, police, and special service districts). Affiliated members shall be limited to one (1) representative per municipal organization. Dues are not assessed.


All members are billed on an annual basis in January of each year. Members joining from January 1, 2012 to May 31, 2012 pay dues outlined above. Members joining between June 1, 2012 and September 30, 2012 will pay prorated 60% of dues outline above. Companies accepted for membership between October 2012 and December 2012 are entitled to a 15-month membership for the cost of a 12-month membership rate.
