Becoming a Member

Thank you for your interest in the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Philadelphia. Our local represents over 90 million square feet of commercial real estate in the tri-state area. We offer monthly meetings, in addition to seminars, which provide an opportunity to share ideas with other professionals in the real estate industry.

If you are applying for Associate Membership (vendor member) there is a one-time non-refundable initiation/processing fee of $200.00 and a check for membership dues ($810.00) will be required in order for your application to be presented to the Board. We request that the check arrive at our office at least 30 days prior to the board meeting (you will be notified of the date). No applications will be presented to the Board without full payment.

Highlights of membership include:

Peer Network - discuss common issues with other real estate professionals. Also, through the resume/job service, BOMA helps employers find qualified people to fill vacant positions, and helps employees match their skills and qualifications to new work;

Legislation - keep abreast of legislation and regulations that affect your property;

Information - Access to publications, standards and current industry information has a direct bearing on your ability to maximize profits and limit expenses. Publications and industry standards are available for purchase. These cover topics such as area calculation, operating income and expense, accounting practices, ADA compliance. emergency preparedness, etc. The Reference Book allows you direct access to your peers and potential customers and showcases professional services and products available to BOMA Members;

Education - strengthen your earning power through BOMA sponsored professional training courses. Earn your Real Property Administrator (RPA), Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA), or Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) designation;

Seminars & Monthly Meetings - stay current on timely issues.
