Philadelphia’s City Council Commerce and Economic Development Committee approved a bill sponsored by Councilman Wilson Goode, Jr. on October 5, 2011 that requires city-supported employers to offer paid sick leave despite testimony from the Nutter administration opposing the measure. BOMA and the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce also approved the legislation. Testimony was presented by Chair Ed Donaghy. A copy is attached. Click here to download
