COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES

In alignment with the BOMA Strategic Plan, the Community Involvement Committee has regularly scheduled volunteer opportunities at Our Brother's Place (OBP)* for our member base to give back to the community while achieving stronger relationships with their BOMA colleagues at these events. A great way to get to know each other and forge stronger relationships is by working next to each other. In addition to volunteer opportunities, there are currently four collection drives planned for 2019-20 so that members and their building tenants/service providers can give back. By being the host of the drives, we are able to make a significant difference to people’s lives by pulling our resources together. We are always open to suggestions and additional ideas to continue the philanthropic work spearheaded by the Community Involvement Committee
* Our Brother's Place is a men's homeless shelter located at 9th & Hamilton Streets that can house up to 147 men. It is one of the many shelters / programs run by the Bethesda Project.
