Details on some volunteer and donation opportunites below

In alignment with the BOMA Strategic Plan, the Community Involvement Committee has regularly scheduled volunteer opportunities at Our Brother's Place (OBP)* for our member base to give back to the community while achieving stronger relationships with their BOMA colleagues at these events.  A great way to get to know each other and forge stronger relationships is by working next to each other.  We are always open to suggestions and additional ideas to continue the philanthropic work
spearheaded by the Community Involvement Committee

* Our Brother's Place is a men's homeless shelter located at 9th & Hamilton Streets that can house up to 147 men.  It is one of the many shelters / programs run by the Bethesda Project.

In the spirit of giving, Our Brother’s Place is planning a holiday party for the men they serve at the shelter for the third week of December. We are pleased to announce that BOMA will be partnering with OBP to support their efforts to make this a special event for their residents. Our signature holiday drive this year will be a collection for OBP, and we will be seeking $25.00 gift cards, backpacks and other necessities, which will be gifted directly to their residents. The photo above provides details. CLICK HERE for the suggested type of backpack available on Amazon.

These gift cards allow the residents an opportunity to shop for new items for themselves. They truly enjoy the opportunity to do a little shopping! And the backpacks and other items are gifts that are very useful to the men and deeply appreciated.

  1. SPREAD THE WORD! All are welcome to participate!!
  2. You can bring your gift card(s) or donated items to the BOMA HOLIDAY LUNCHEON on Wednesday, December 15th at the Ballroom at the Ben.
