Membership

Q: I am interested in membership. Where can I learn more?
A: Thank you for your interest, if you would like to learn more about BOMAPHILA membership please click here.

Q: If I join BOMA Philadelphia am I a member of every other BOMA?
A: No, each BOMA local is independently operated. Just as with BOMA Philadelphia, you must join the local in each city in order to gain full membership rights. You do, however, become a member of BOMA International by joining a local chapter.

Q: Does BOMA Philadelphia have any educational offerings?
A: Yes, we offer BOMI classes and educational seminars locally, plus you can check for self-study and online classes by visiting the BOMI International section for more information.

Q: What is BOMA Philadelphia’s Refund policy?
A: Please contact Chris Reich at creich@bomaphila.com to discuss any issues you may have with payments and accounting.

Member Portal

Q: I am a current member. How do I access my account?
A: If you know your username and password please click here to login. If you do not know your username and password you can retrieve that information by clicking here and entering the email address that was used to sign up for your account. 

Q: How do I update my profile?
A: To update your profile, click on "My Profile" in the member portal menu. Review your information, make changes as necessary, and click on the "Save Changes" button to update your profile. 
Please note: All "required" fields must be filled out prior to updating your profile otherwise changes will not be saved.

Q. How do I add my profile to the BOMAPHILA online member directory?
A: In order to add your member profile to appear in the online member directory, please use the following steps:
  • Login to your member account
  • Click on "My Directory Options" in the member portal menu on the right hand side
  • Click to select your Member type category from the "Directory Categories" section (Your member type is located on your "My Profile" page)
    • Please Note: In order for your profile to appear in the online member directory the directory category must be selected
  • Under the "Directory Display Options" section, click to select each contact information field you wish to have displayed in the online member directory
  • Click on the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page when finished
Q: How can I renew my membership online?
A: You can renew your membership with BOMAPHILA by selecting "Membership Renewal" in the member portal menu. To pay for membership dues by credit card, select "Register & Pay Online".

Username & Password Assistance

Q: I do not know my username and password.
A: If you are a current member of BOMAPHILA you can retrieve your username and a temporary password via email by clicking here and entering the email address that was used to sign up for your account.

Q: I don't know the email address that was used to sign up for my account
A: If you attempt to retrieve your credentials and your email does not match what we have on file please contact the BOMAPHILA office by calling or submit your question to us by email here.

Q: I received an email containing my username and a temporary password, what next?
A: Please proceed to the login page and type in your username and temporary password.

Q: I am having trouble accessing my account with the username and temporary password that was sent to me.
A: We recommend that you type the username and password that was provided via email. If you copy and paste the selection into the username and password fields, sometimes you are copying and pasting an extra "space" which the system will not recognize. 

Q: I pressed the "Retrieve Username and Password" button more than once, will I get more than one email? 
A: You can retrieve your username and a temporary password as many times as you wish but the system will send you additional emails. Note that the most recent email you've received will contain the temporary password that will allow you to access your account.

Advertising

Q: Am I able to advertise on your publications?
A: Yes. Our associate members have the benefit of advertising opportunities in our monthly newsletter and annual reference book. Contact the BOMA office for additional details.

Job Listings

Q: Does BOMA Philadelphia have job listings?
A: Yes. Please visit our Job Board to find view job postings. If you'd like to post a job listing, your member benefits allows you that opportunity. In the member portal, through your own profile, you may upload a job posting to the website for approval by the BOMA Office before its publication.

Events

Q: Can I attend any BOMA Philadelphia events as a non-member?
A: Yes. You may attend BOMA meetings at the non-member price, before becoming a member.

Q: What kind of events does BOMA Philadelphia have?
A: During the course of the year we have a number of informative monthly luncheons, educational seminars, and much more, including our annual TOBY Awards, Holiday Networking Event, and Golf Outing.

Q: Can I sponsor any of these events?
A: It depends. Event sponsorship is limited. All opportunities will be specifically announced.

Q: How do I register under my member profile for an event?
A: Click here to log in to your profile. Next, visit the Bookmark section on the right-hand side of your Profile page and click Events & Registrations. This will take you to the Event Calendar. Click on the event for more details and to complete your registration.

Committees

Q: Can I join a committee?
A: Yes. We have a number of committees which are open to BOMA's listed members. We encourage you to review them by visiting the committee section of our website. Click here to log in to your profile. Next, visit the Bookmark section on the right-hand side of your Profile page and click Committees & Groups.
