International Angelman Day (IAD) is an annual event held on February 15th and observed by over 50 charitable/support organizations based in over 40 countries around the world. People with AS have intellectual, developmental, and physical impairment, struggling to walk and often suffering debilitating seizures - AS has no cure.
Awareness efforts, such a lighting architecture and buildings, in honor of International Angelman Day increases public knowledge of the conditions, builds inclusion and understanding, and most importantly spreads the message that the global collective of Angelman syndrome organizations is working tirelessly to bring practical treatments to Angelman syndrome as quickly as possible.
