4-H is America’s largest youth development organization, empowering six million young people with the skills to thrive in work and life. The first full week of October marks National 4-H Week, a time when we celebrate the six million youth, 500,000 volunteers, and 35 million alumni who are part of the 4-H movement across the U.S. One of the most powerful traditions during this week is “Go Green Day”, when people, businesses, and landmarks wear green to show their support for 4-H and its mission to empower young people—in Pennsylvania and all over the U.S.—through hands-on learning.
