4-H, America’s largest youth development organization, is delivered by a community of more than 100 public universities - including Penn State - that provides experiences where young people learn by doing.
The first full week of October marks National 4-H Week, a time when we celebrate the six million youth, 500,000 volunteers, and 35 million alumni who are part of the 4-H movement across the U.S. One of the most powerful traditions during this week is “Go Green Day”, when people, businesses, and landmarks wear green to show their support for 4-H and its mission to empower young people through hands-on learning.
