This annual event brings together families from across the country to remember their loved ones, light candles in their honor, and hold space for the more than 1.2 million American lives lost to COVID-19. While much of the world has moved on, countless families are still living with the weight of their loss, still mourning, still remembering, still finding their way through grief.
