Frontotemporal degeneration (FTD) is the most common form of dementia that occurs in individuals less than 65 years of age. The University of Pennsylvania Frontotemporal Degeneration Center (FTDC) and Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD) are headquartered in Philadelphia/King of Prussia and world leaders in the research, treatment and care of FTD. October 8-11, 2026 we are hosting the International Society for Frontotemporal Dementias (ISFTD) international meeting in Philadelphia that is the pre-eminent research forum for FTD that will bring approximately 1000 research, medical providers, and caregivers from around the world to fight this devastating disease. Highlighting our presence in Philadelphia during this time will draw awareness to this disorder and Philadelphia's unique leadership in advancing treatment and care.
