Our foundation, the US MEF2C Foundation, is working to increase the awareness of the MEF2C gene and the developmental disabilities associated with mutations and deletions of the gene. The MEF2C gene is on the 5th chromosome in region 14.3. Thus, MEF2C Awareness Day is on May 14th. We are hoping to light candles and landmarks worldwide to raise awareness of our genetic condition.
