Alopecia is an auto-immune disease that causes hair loss and impacts >2% of the population. There are physical and psychological impacts to losing one’s hair, eyelashes, eyebrows, etc. Philadelphia is a flagship site for the Walk for Alopecia on September 27 (there are almost 30 other Walk sites across the US but only two flagship sites).
