100th Centennial Anniversary of the AKA Sorority - LIGHT UP PINK/GREEN

  • BOMA Philadelphia 1515 Market Street Philadelphia, PA, 19102 United States (map)

The Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (AKA) was chartered on December 10, 1926 to address the needs of the African-American community through volunteer service. AKA was founded on the campus of Howard University (Washington, DC) in 1908. Our most notable members are: Former Vice-President Kamala Harris; Former Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Administrative Judge, Frederica Massiah-Jackson; and Former President of Independence Blue Cross Foundation, Lorina Marshall Blake. This marks Omega Omega Chapter's 100th year of providing service to the Philadelphia Community. To celebrate the occaision we would like the city illuminated Pink and Green (our organizations colors) for the entire weekend starting on Thursday, December 10, 2026.
